Privacy policy
This is a draft
This page only shows the structure of the document and hasn't been reviewed or approved by the operator's legal team yet. Before it goes live, replace it with the operator's real commitments and a lawyer's sign-off.
Binin is self-hosted: it runs on infrastructure controlled by whoever operates this particular instance, and that operator — not the software's authors — is responsible for your data. This page shows the structure of a privacy policy and needs to be completed with the operator's real commitments before it's published.
What's stored
Your phone number and display name, the title and schedule of meetings you create, a record of who attended each meeting (for guests, just the name they typed in), that meeting's chat messages, and the technical data needed to connect audio and video.
The login SMS
Phone verification uses a one-time code sent by SMS. Depending on how this instance is configured, that message may go out through a third-party SMS gateway.
Video calls
Live audio and video runs on a media server hosted by the operator itself — not an external video SaaS.
Retention and your rights
How long data is kept, how to request account deletion, and which law applies aren't defined in this draft yet — the operator and their legal counsel need to fill this in.
